What is tile adhesive condensation?
After brushing the tile adhesive, the emulsion quickly gathers to an unspecified position, resulting in the adhesive failing to form a complete coating film. The adhesive condensation leads to the failure to form a strong bonding system between the ceramic tile and the adhesive, which cannot exert its due effect, and will increase the risk of the ceramic tile falling off.
Causes of tile adhesive condensation?
1. Poor cleaning of brick back will lead to condensation of back glue
On the back of the new tiles, there is a layer of white powder. It is this kind of substance that makes the back glue polycondensation, affects the paving effect, and may lead to the empty drum of the tile falling off in the later period.
Before paving, the floating ash and release agent on the back of the ceramic tile shall be cleaned up, and then the subsequent tile paving shall be carried out.
If it is not cleaned up, there is peeling powder or other oil stains on the back of the brick, and the adhesive brush is prone to polycondensation and cannot form a continuous film.
2. Water will lead to gum condensation
There is another situation that some masters habitually add water to the back glue, thinking that this can reduce the amount and save costs.
The addition of water to the back glue is equivalent to reducing the solid content, which seriously affects the effect of the back glue, and is also easy to cause problems such as polycondensation.
Therefore, when you master the adhesive construction, you must carefully clean the brick back, and you cannot add water at will to save costs and change the adhesive ratio at will. So as not to affect the late construction effect.
