TDW-V Adhesive for Sintered Stone
This product is a polymer-modified cement-based tile adhesive with large adhesion, more flexible, and can resist the stress caused by thermal expansion and contraction of the adhesive layer, and is suitable for pasting ceramic tiles on gypsum board, fiberboard, plywood or old finishes (tiles, mosaics, terrazzo), etc., as well as the pasting of various stone slabs of larger sizes.

Product Description
TDW-V Slab-Specific Adhesive is a polymer-modified cement-based tile adhesive composed of active admixtures and various special additives. This product is ready to use after adding water, easy to install, and has excellent crack resistance, tensile properties, and weather resistance. When used with underfloor heating, it has excellent thermal conductivity, effectively saving space and labor. It is non-toxic, harmless, healthy, and safe, and suitable for bonding various floor tiles or wall tiles on ordinary mortar surfaces.
Scope of Application
It can be directly applied to concrete, cement plaster, concrete slabs, plastered brick surfaces, and some waterproof coatings; suitable for bonding decorative ceramic tiles with a water absorption rate of less than 0.5% and a size of ≤ 1200*2400mm to indoor and outdoor walls and floors.
For ceramic slabs with an indoor surface area > 1.62 ㎡ and a long side > 1500mm (thickness ≤ 12mm ), when laying them in specific scenarios (such as elevator lobbies with large deformation and extra-large slabs ), mechanical fixing brackets are required for installation.
When laying tiles of any size larger than those mentioned above or with a water absorption rate smaller than those mentioned above, the back of the tile must be treated with a backing adhesive for effective interface treatment, or a higher-performance tile adhesive must be used . When combining tile backing adhesive with tile adhesive for tiling, and when matching tile bonding materials according to the application scenario, tile size, and tile water absorption rate, the technical solutions provided by the manufacturer shall prevail .

Construction Operations
Surface treatment
- The surface used should be firm, clean, free of hollow areas, oil, wax, mold release agents, and other loose materials;
- Painted surfaces should be roughened to expose at least 80% of the original surface.
- After the concrete surface is completed, it should be cured for at least 28 days before tiling can be laid, and the newly plastered surface should be cured for at least 7 days before tiling can be laid;
- Old concrete and plaster surfaces can be cleaned with industrial detergents or degreasers, then rinsed thoroughly with a pressure hose.
- The surface must be dried for 24 hours before tiling can be done.
- For surfaces with loose substrates and high water absorption, or surfaces where surface dust is difficult to clean thoroughly, a sand-fixing agent can be applied first.
- For substrates with high water absorption or in high temperature and dry environments, it is best to moisten the substrate until it is dry on the outside and moist on the inside before construction.
Preparing tile adhesive
- The mixing ratio is powder:water = 4:1;
- First, add water to the mixing bowl, then gradually add the powder while mixing . Use an electric mixer to mix until smooth and free of lumps, then let it sit. 3-5 Stir again for 15-30 minutes. It can be used in seconds, and the mixed tile adhesive should be used within 2 hours.
Tile laying
s the adhesion between the adhesive and the substrate ). Then apply a thicker layer of adhesive and use a suitable notched trowel to smooth the adhesive layer. Each application should not exceed 2 square meters. Press the tile onto the still-wet, smoothed adhesive layer. In adverse weather conditions (such as high temperature or wind) or when the substrate has high water absorption, tiles should be laid as soon as possible. Before tiling, touch the surface of the adhesive layer with your finger to check if it is still dry. If it is, you can lay the tile; if it is, you need to reapply adhesive. The depth of the trowel notches should be considered based on the flatness of the working surface and the unevenness of the back of the tile.
the back texture of the tile is deep or the tile size is ≥300mm×300mm, a combination method should be used for construction. This involves applying tile adhesive to the base layer and combing it, applying tile adhesive to the back of the tile as well, and then placing the tile on the combed tile adhesive layer and pressing it appropriately .
Important Notes
Precautions
- The construction temperature is 5-35℃ ;
- The water-to-powder ratio can be adjusted appropriately depending on the substrate, weather, and construction conditions .
- When working in rainy weather, it is essential to take proper protective measures and ensure that the work area remains dry for 24 hours after tiling.
- The adhesive should be used within 1-3 hours, depending on weather conditions.
- Never mix dried adhesive with water before using it ;
- After the tiles are laid, the grouting process can only proceed after the mortar has completely dried (approximately 24 hours).
- When applying wall stickers, be sure to take proper temporary fixing measures.
Safety regulations
- This product contains cement and may irritate the eyes and skin. Therefore, please wear appropriate protective equipment during application. If the product accidentally gets into your eyes, rinse immediately with water and seek medical attention promptly.
