Product Description
TDW-512 self-leveling mortar is a new type of cement-based mortar, which is made of special cement, sand, fly ash and high quality admixtures. It has good fluidity and uniformity in fresh state, and forms a dense, non-porous and smooth surface after curing.
Scope of Application
This product is designed for precise leveling of indoor floors in residential, office, and public buildings. The hardened self-leveling mortar can be directly used to lay various flooring materials, including tiles, PVC flooring, carpets, and wooden floors.
For industrial flooring applications (e.g., workshops, electronics factories) and high-load surfaces like parking garages, warehouses, and freight centers, self-leveling products with a 28-day compressive strength rating of ≥20MPa are recommended. Refer to the certificate and test report specifications for details.
The recommended construction thickness is 4-6mm, with a material requirement of 7-8kg per square meter.
Technical Specifications
The product complies with the requirements for base course self-leveling mortar specified in the industry standard JC/T 985-2017 "Groundwater Cement-based Self-leveling Mortar". Its key physical and mechanical performance indicators are as follows:

Construction Operations
Construction preparation and tools
Inspect the condition of the ground base and perform corresponding treatments based on the actual situation. The required tools mainly include: electric mixer, mixing bucket, measuring cup, toothed scraper, defoaming roller, nail shoe, double-sided tape, isolation rubber strip, tape measure, and ink pen.
Construction procedure
The base layer should be solid, dust-free, free of standing water, sharp edges, and voids, and sealed with a multi-functional interface agent that adheres firmly. To ensure sealing effectiveness, the multi-functional interface agent is typically applied in two coats, followed by the application of self-leveling mortar after the agent has dried.
- Preparation of self-leveling mortar
First, add water to the mixing bucket, then gradually incorporate the powder while stirring. Use an electric mixer to blend for 1-2 minutes until the mixture is uniform and free of lumps. The prepared self-leveling mortar must be used within 20 minutes.
The recommended water-to-dry powder ratio is 25kg of powder to 5-5.5L of water. For exact specifications, please refer to the certificate of conformity or product label.
- Construction technology
The prepared slurry shall be spread from the center outward onto the surface after the interface agent has dried, assisted by a toothed scraper and continuously defoamed using a defoaming roller. Self-leveling mortar construction should be performed continuously, with defoaming completed within 15 minutes after spreading. When the construction area exceeds 6-8 meters in width, work should be divided into sections. Marking lines must be applied before installing the separation strip, and the hardened edges should be protected after removal to prevent new materials from flowing onto the hardened surface.

Maintenance and Laying of Surface
During construction and for two days after completion, avoid factors that may destabilize the environment, such as cross-ventilation and localized sun exposure. Maintain stable temperature and humidity in the
construction area, with the base surface moisture content below 8%. If any other abnormal factors are observed, promptly consult the Tiedewen technical team.
Under normal room temperature conditions of approximately 20°C, the area can be walked on about 6 hours after completion of construction. Subsequent finishing materials (such as wooden floors, laminate floors, carpets, etc.) can be laid after 48 hours of construction. The installation of carpets and wooden floors may be adjusted based on the on-site humidity conditions.
Important Notes
Matters need attention
- The ambient temperature suitable for construction is 5-35℃.
- It is strictly prohibited to add sand, cement, or other additives during stirring.
- Never re-mix hardened mortar with water for reuse.
- The mortar should be used within 20 minutes after mixing to prevent it from losing fluidity due to prolonged time.
Transportation and Storage
- The ambient temperature suitable for construction is 5-35℃.
- It is strictly prohibited to add sand, cement, or other additives during stirring.
- Never re-mix hardened mortar with water for reuse.
- The mortar should be used within 20 minutes after mixing to prevent it from losing fluidity due to prolonged time.
Transportation and Storage
- During transportation, avoid rain exposure and impacts to prevent damage to the packaging.
- It should be stored in a cool and dry warehouse to prevent moisture, and direct sunlight and contact with water are strictly prohibited.
- Under normal transportation and storage conditions, the product has a shelf life of 6 months.
Safe code
This product contains cement components which may irritate the eyes and skin. Therefore, it is essential to wear appropriate protective equipment during application. In case of accidental eye contact, immediately rinse with clean water and seek medical attention promptly.
Important note: The factory-installed palletizing wrapping film and wooden base tray enhance product protection against water, dust, and moisture. Do not damage them before use (these items are not included for small quantities).
